If you follow me on social media or subscribe to my monthly emails, you know that I spent my 29th birthday last month back in legendary Royal Studios (Al Green, Ann Peebles) recording the last 7 songs of my upcoming full length album. We had recorded the first 3 singles, released in 2016, last December and were beyond excited to get back into such a musically sacred space to record the remaining tracks. There is just nothing like being in the sound booth where Al Green recorded his hits–the vibe and soul is palpable! All we have left to do is get those Memphis horns and background vocals on the songs and the album will be ready to be mixed and mastered! With that being said, I am excited to announce that we have set a date and I will be headed to the studio of Memphis legend, Jim Dickinson (and his sons Luther and Cody of the North Mississippi Allstars), The Zebra Ranch, in Cold Water, MS with my producers Kevin Houston and Ryan Peel April 5, 2017 to lay down those soulful horns played by Art Edmaiston and Marc Franklin (the horns players for Gregg Allman’s band) and background vocals by Tikyra and Ava Jackson. I am beyond thrilled to be so close to finishing this album that you can expect out later in the summer! Making a record is such an exciting and fulfilling process, but it takes a lot of time, patience, budgeting, planning, and heart and soul to come into fruition, so to be at this phase in the process and getting to hear what this album is going to sound like is so rewarding to me as the artist and I cannot wait to share it with y’all! Stay tuned, because over the next few months I will be sharing more news like the album title (yes, it has already been selected), release date, and more tour dates as I am currently booking shows throughout the summer and fall in promotion of the release! Wanna see me in your city!? Email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or shoot me a message on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/faithevansruchmusic! Till then, my sweet friends! -FER
The big announcement is here! This week I officially launched the pre-order and fan funding campaign for my next full-length record, which will be out in 2017! You can pre-order the digital album for just $10 or throw in a little bit more and get some cool perks (want some mail from Memphis, a house concert or beer & BBQ with me?) – get all the details right here on IndieGogo!
Once you pre-order or pledge, you’ll get exclusive updates from me as we complete the record, so get in there early! The campaign will last 60 days and we’ll be heading into the studio during that time so you’ll get a sneak peek at the process and I won’t be sharing those videos, photos and updates anywhere else but with my IndieGogo supporters.
I can’t wait to bring y’all along for the ride as we head back to Royal Studios to finish this album. Your support has made everything I’ve done to this point possible – I’m grateful, and can’t wait to share this music with you!

As y’all know, I’ve been working on songs for my next full length album – I didn’t want to keep you waiting so long for another taste so I’m excited to announce that the next track from the record, a cover of Nancy Sinatra’s “Bang Bang,” will be released July 22!
Even better: my awesome friend Rachel of Adobe & Teardrops is going to premiere it exclusively on July 21!
This track is a collaboration with Ryan Peel, an incredible drummer and songwriter who came up with the concept with Alex Kramer. He reached out to me a couple of years ago because he thought my voice would be perfect for this mash-up of sorts they had done, mixing “Bang Bang” with a sort of Fugees’ “Killing Me Softly”-esque drum beat. One thing led to another and we never got around to recording it – but when I started work on this new record and felt things shifting toward soul, I knew exactly the song I wanted in the mix. I called Ryan and was able to get him into the studio to track the drums live. (It sounds like it’s looped – but it’s all Ryan playing live. He is insanely talented y’all!)
I can’t wait for y’all to hear this song – stay tuned for the premiere July 21 and get your download July 22!
