Ok now, y’all! I am excited to tell you about this cool new thing I’m doing every Thursday night in April at the Poplar Lounge! I’ll be hosting a songwriters night, where I open the night with my set, then hand the stage over to another songwriter for the remainder of the evening, and I have some GREAT guests lined up that I am super pumped about! We’ll start off April 3rd with singer/songwriter and the brains and force behind 3Artists1Yard, Caleb Sigler, accompanied by partner, Sarah Jo Hazlerig. April 10th we have one of my very favorite people in Memphis, the talented Nick Black, to swoon you with his soulful tunes and incredible guitar playing. I’m really looking forward to sharing a stage with Mark Edgar Stuart for the first time on April 17th! I am a little giddy to have such an awesome singer/songwriter on the bill–I mean, who doesn’t love Mark?? Then we’ll close out the residency the last Thursday, April 24th with my buddies, Cooper Taylor & Travis Roman. Cooper spent the last 6 months playing along side me in my band, and it’s time for this boy to show you where he shines brightest, with acoustic harmonic originals that flow through melodic transitions that will hook you in and keep you enthralled note to note. You heard Travis Roman on “Don’t Go”, the second single from my debut album, “1835 Madison”; and with a new album in the works himself, you can catch his newest material here! I got a sneak preview of his album recently, and you’re in for a treat! You never know if some other local favorites may pop in for a few songs too. You can stay updated here, on Twitter, and on Facebook! I’ve never done this before, so I’m excited to take y’all on this new ride with me! Let’s make it fun!
